November 2020 update

Hi everyone! Welcome to the November update, with news of a few new things.

Firstly, the previously announced EWS HOA graffiti is available for order now. I’m also working on an extra single wagon graffiti set for a further EWS HOA It should be available soon, I’ll stick a picture up once I’ve had a play with the test decals. I saw the real thing and thought ‘I need to do that!’ More info on the existing HOA pack here

Next up, I’m pleased to announce that the pack for the EWS HTA hoppers is now available to order. This covers eight wagons and as usual has a full set of placement instructions. The green squares in the set allow for twelve wagons to be done, plus an addon pack of just the green squares for a further ten wagons to complete your rake. More info on the HTA pack here

Next on the list, I’ve developed a range of decals to cover the Railtrack branding on model Autoballaster hoppers. As the real things run in sets of five, each pack will cover five wagons. Those for HQAs also include the large white set numbers that the outer wagons still carry from their days on the Channel Tunnel Rail Link (now HS1) construction. There is one style for JJAs and two for HQAs, and the white numbers can be substituted to others if required. The Farish and N Gauge Society models use different shades of blue, and the decals also use different shades to provide a suitable contrast on both brands of model. Let me know on ordering which model you own and the decals will be printed in the right shade of blue to contrast on your model. There’s no graffiti at present, but is undergoing research at present. The final product news for this update is that I am now able to offer a custom decal service. The web page is still a work in progress, but there’ll be a link to it from the Products page when it’s done. Prices start from £5, varying by size and complexity. Although I’m used to modelling in N, I have undertaken a few custom projects in other scales so these can be accommodated too.

The last thing before I go, if you are on Instagram why not head over and take a look at the Steadfast Models page. It can found at instagram.com/steadfastmodels/

That’s all for now, happy modelling!
